Then, in its seventh and final weekend, ticket sales rose 5,300 percent."
Now you may be asking your self "Wow 5300% that's good right?". Well maybe, It did make money but why did it just make money the last week it was in theaters. Well when Susana de la Sierra, the director general of the Institute of Cinematography and Visual Arts, said that her agency, a part of the Culture Ministry. They believe that some producers are accused of inflating ticket sales to qualify for state aid.
Okay now you must be like "Oh wow that would never happen in America or what ever country you happen to live in as u read this" but truthful one can never know. For a few extra million bucks movie producers might inflate prices in your local theater but hey is it completely legal???

I think that more film industries around the world should be noticed to see the culture and view points of them. I'm not saying that they aren't, but they should be given more attention. They have to do all these inflation and money-grabbing methods since they don't have a wider audience.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck, they boosted up ticket sales just so they can lower the prices the last week the movei would show. That's terrible business. Who would sell a hot dog for 10 dollars throughout the day and lower it to 50 cents just before the hot dog goes stale. By stale I mean after people have gone in and made a bootleg of that movie. Lol just my opinion, but moderate prices seem to do fine why boost up prices for a flimsy "state aid?"
ReplyDeleteOkay my bad, after reading the article I just realized that there was a reason to do that. Government is really sheeeeesh! It's contreversial. Anyways I don't think they would do that here in Murica! THE LAND OF THE FREE!......AND EAGLES.......AND MOVIES!!! Hollywood for the win! Lol maybe they'll start a Spaniard hollywood, like in India-Bollywood. haha
ReplyDeleteWOULD NOT!* sorry spelling error
DeleteI don't think it'll ever be a problem as our government, unlike many others around the world, do not fund movie projects.
